Holiday Parties, Work, and Oh yes, I Love My Writing Group!
Every day, another deadline--party present, event, report, something that only I know is essential (no time to explain)--yet, here I sit, willing to devote a few moments to that wonderful thing we call writing. It is so much more. I finished the cookbook, but am told it won't arrive in time for Christmas. Entered two contests... not expecting Santa to deliver the awards. But it doesn't make me sad; there's nothing like the writing! I adore those of you who understand, and I love all of you who don't. Writing is so personal; it's the most intimate part of me. "The Group" knows. Merry Christmas to those of you who celebrate it. I have no choice. I will bake the cookies and wrap the gifts, but mostly, I will cherish every smile I catch, every knowing look that passes between us--friends, family, and yes, the nature around us--let's celebrate this gift we call life! Joy.
